The GI Hub recently hosted a global webinar on risk allocation in Public-Private Partnerships with Norton Rose Fulbright and the International Private Finance Association. The webinar was extremely well attended and saw active participation from public sector and private sector participants from around the world.
Disruptive technology risk was a hot topic which led to a good discussion on how this risk should be considered within PPP contractual arrangements, something that is expressly considered in GI Hub’s freely accessible Risk Allocation Tool.
The webinar also drew attention to the GI Hub’s regional risk allocation workshops, the first of which is being held in Bangkok on 18 July, 2017. Subsequent regional risk allocation workshops are planned for later in the year in East Africa and Latin America. The subject of the workshops will be risk allocation in PPP transactions tailored to the relevant region and featuring a detailed introduction to the GI Hub Risk Allocation Tool. For more information on the workshops, please contact jack.handford@gihub.org.
The answers to all questions asked in the webinar will shortly be available in the Q&A section of our Risk Allocation Tool website and the full slide deck from the webinar is available through the link above.
