The Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub) and Infrastructure Asia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly facilitate collaboration in the areas of thought leadership, targeted capacity building and knowledge sharing to support sustainable and resilient infrastructure development in Asia.
The MoU also provides a strategic framework that aims to encourage investment in quality infrastructure in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
Digital infrastructure and innovative funding are just two of the topics that GI Hub and Infrastructure Asia will prioritise for thought leadership. Collaboration on capacity building will be targeted through the use of GI Hub’s broad range of infrastructure related tools and guidance.
GI Hub CEO Marie Lam-Frendo said: “This MoU is the next step for our relationship with Infrastructure Asia. Over the last few years we’ve collaborated on capacity building workshops and other initiatives like our innovation competition InfraChallenge and I’m excited to build and expand on our activities together.”
Infrastructure Asia supports infrastructure financing and development in the region through early project scoping, best practice sharing, deal brokering, and harnessing Singapore’s best-in-class infrastructure ecosystem.
Infrastructure Asia Executive Director Seth Tan said: “We are pleased to partner with GI Hub to contribute towards Asia’s infrastructure needs. Thought leadership and targeted capacity building are key areas that we look forward to working together on.”
