Mortality rates attributed to household and ambient air pollution are strongly negatively correlated to total infrastructure investment per capita.
While countries with higher infrastructure investment tend to have income, and thus more available resources to dedicate to measures (e.g. health systems) that can reduce mortality rates, this negative correlation between infrastructure investment and mortality rates is even stronger among Low and Low-Middle Income Countries.
