Countries that have lower levels of total infrastructure investment per capita are more likely to experience higher air pollution rates.
While a higher income no doubt allows for greater resources to flow into infrastructure investment, thus explaining a substantial amount of the variance in air pollution, these two variables are still negatively correlated among Low and Low-Middle Income Countries.
